MONSTAR
#watchhh it #a high school musical show that manages to satisfy both my commercial and indie sensibilities (yes i do realize that's a paradox) #four for you Show, four for you #also let's not forget the hero of the series that is Seung Gi-lite #also the ridiculously pretty people in the show who rock at instruments #too bad they're asses of the first degree #and then there's the apathetic second lead #but not when it involves the heroine #who happens to be a badass warrior who takes no bullshit from anyone #together they make beautiful music #eargasm all around #the end

Austen Power: The Tale of Three Sisters
Without fail, there comes a time every year where I'd feel like watching shows set in the Victorian period (which inevitably leads to me binging on everything Austen). BBC, here I come!
Though this time it'll have to wait, because I'm here to pimp yet another modern retelling of Pride & Prejudice - but here's the plot twist: it so meta it's a vlog. Y'know, a video blog? Where people, uh, upload videos of themselves talking to the camera on Youtube?
Imagine if Elizabeth Bennet lived in the 21st century... and has a Youtube channel or her own.

Where she talks about what a pompous prick Darcy is 24/7.
And the Darcy here is... such a dork! I mean, he wears suspenders, for the love of Austen. And I'm pretty sure he's 80% Socially Awkward Penguin, or in his bestie Fitz Williams words, "has a social skills of a agoraphobic lobster." Oh Lizzie, if only you knew.

MBC Mashups
How many of you had your hearts tickled at the Moon Embraces The Sun x Missing You mashup? Having seen both shows, it sure got me fangirlin' like mad, since when Missing You started I had this scenario in my head where Kim Yoo Jung would barge in on Han Jung Woo and his lady love. Keke.

Can We Get Married OST: Can't Go On My Own by Clazziquai (feat. Kim Jin Pyo)
More Dong Bi love! A sunny for song for my fav character, though its lyrics doesn't really suit any of the show's storylines... but oh well, it's Alex's and Horan's beautiful voice. No complains from me here.
But you have our hearts, Dong Bi!
Oh, the feels.
A scene I've watched countless times: Dong Bi's rejection. Not because it makes me happy to see rat bastard Ki Joong getting what he deserved (which I am), but because the following scene showed that he does, indeed, CARE. For a man who's MO towards any difficult situation is to smile it off, it's so gratifying to see him visibly rattled.
Scenario: Episode 16, one of the very first scenes: Ki Joong's proposes that they date like how normal couples would. She says no, how could they when they're clearly not normal? Let's just stay as friends.
But Ki Joong, so in tune with his girlfriend of five years, senses something amiss. There's more to it that. Is it because of Jung Hoon?

2012: Year of The Woobies
'Cause two makes a trend.
The most memorable characters I've watched this year belongs to a specific category - you know the type, they are the ones that make you die a little inside with their every appearance, ones that make you root for them despite their terrible, despicable acts. Ones that make you question the moral ground you stand on, only for you to toss it aside, hands up in the air, yelling, Argh, I give up! You win! I LIKE YOU. I think.
Here's to characters that make you wanna wrap them in a blanket, hug 'em tight, and never let them go.
Your Highness, don't you know [my heart]?

Arang Appreciation Post.
"I've found you, Amnesiac."
My BROTHER. Yeah, I have yet to watch more than 5 eps of Nice Guy, but Chlo-Bro finished it all. Damn, is that messed up or what? That prompt me to do some catching up on my own (what? they say sibling rivalry is healthy).
As a result, I'm all caught up with Can We Get Married in one day (technically possible if one does a lot of FFWD), and now halfway through Arang and The Magistrate (turns out you can still be productive with your PS, just play with it whenever Joo Wal's "parents" show up.)
And the result is this very short post (yeah, it's just an excuse for some pic dumping.)
