The Novel: Marry Me, Mary! (Chapter 4)

Announcement: Show Your Love To The GeunGeun Couple! Submit Your Original Fanart As The Next Novel Cover
So, I was thinking...since this is a fan-for-fan project, I wanna extend this opportunity to you fans to show your love to the GeunGeun couple as well! I need some pics for the so-called "front page" of the novel for each chapter, so for the more PS-savvy people, you can now submit your M3 fanart; just drop me the links as a comment below.
For example, the above pic is something I did, inspired from the the original manhwa

Marry Me, Mary! Finale Tonight

Oh boy oh boy oh boy. Today's the big day, and god knows what will happen. Episode 15 was not anti-climatic AT ALL. It felt like the sort of havoc you would expect in the middle of a series, but clearly Writer Go had no intention of following the norm. Makjang till the end, eh?
Happier times...

All in all, I think the actors had a good experience. Moon Geun Young said: "We've worked very hard to bring a drama that brings warmth and comfort to the audience. I'm glad I got to portray the optimistic and headstrong Mary."

The Novel: Marry Me, Mary! (Chapter 3)

First things first: While this chapter was a delight to read, it was a pain to translate. Why, you ask? Well, I'm the kind of person who would translate sentence by sentence. S-l-o-w-l-y. I have to make sure the first sentence is perfect before going to the next one, more often than not dwelling ad nauseum.

Spoiler In Words: Marry, Me Mary! Ep. 15 + X-mas Greetings From JGS

First posted: (14/12/2010), Edited (25/12/2010)
HOLEY M...You wouldn't believe it even if I told you. Heck, even I don't believe it myself. Santa came to me 4 o'clock in the morning today. He made Writer Go revise the plot for Episode 15. THAT made this groggy-eyed hellochloe wide awake at 6 in the morning.
No new news as to what is it so far, it's only a notice stating to the effect that the spoiler is in revision. I don't know much about the technicalities about producing a drama, but if they were to change it isn't it a wee bit late?

Spoiler In Words: Marry, Me Mary! Episode 14

JGS on stage is the hottest JGS. Agree?
Mary witnessed the whole kidnapping process and brings the police with her. Mu Gyul is finally rescued, but in the process My Gyul's arm got injured again. During Mu Gyul's kidnapping, Wonderful Day's showcase almost got cancelled but luckily Mu Gyul made it in time, and the showcase was a success.\(^o^)/

The Novel: Marry Me, Mary! (Chapter 2)

Hey, guess what? Turns out I was wrong, the drama really resembles the manhwa ALOT. And because of those similarities, it makes this novel even more of a delight to translate. Doing so puts me in a good mood, just like the drama.
Which goes to show that the original writer who set out to adapt this did a commendable job. Too bad she lost it halfway, probably due to the lack of material to follow in the original manhwa (it's still ongoing as of now). All the same, I feel like a true M3 fan for recognizing all its similarity to the show, sort of like a little secret only a lover of the drama will understand.

It defies the imagination, it truly does...I can't believe this is happening to my favorite trio. Someone pinch me, please.

The Novel: Marry Me, Mary! (Chapter 1)

I won't lie: I'm very excited over what I'm about to do. It's the manhwa story, carefully compiled and made into chapters by a wonderful person at Baidu. Maybe it's the otaku in me, I always make it a point to check out original thing if I stumble upon a drama remake of it. And it definitely explain some things in the drama, like why is there a strawberry in the show's logo? I know it's random, but I was sure they had a reason for it. And I was right.

Spoiler In Words for Marry Me, Mary! Episode 12

Mary and Mu Gyul finally get to start their life together under one roof. However, even from Day One it wasn't smooth sailing (to be honest, I didn't expect anything less. Trouble and Chaos has a way with this OTP)

Marry Me, Mary! in Manga (Part II)

And the cuteness continues. Now that the OTP acknowledge their love for each other, we might be going uphill with the Romeo and Juliet theme, but no prob, cuteness never ceases in M3's fan art.
Please don't abandon the Show, pleaseeeeeee!

Mary's Wedding Dress

Call me old-fashioned, but when it comes to bridal dresses, I like it white and long. This one's white, but it's...mini. In fact, I hadn't notice that it was suppose to be a wedding gown until I stumbled upon this said article. It looks more like a tutu, no?

Spoiler In Words for Marry Me, Mary! Episode 9

This is how this show, Mary Stayed Out All Night got its name. When the OTP finally realizes their love for each other, you know the climax is here. And you betcha it's going to be good.
On the eve of her engagement, Mu Gyul and Mary declare the feelings they have for each other right in front of Seo Joon and Jung In (hellochloe does a double whoopie here).  Mary's dad cannot forgive her act, to which Mary feels sorry for but she hadn't had a choice.

Mu Gyul sends a paper plane message to her (how cute is that? I thought I would only get to see this in jdramas), and Mary couldn't just let him leave like that, thus she went along with him. What started out as a brief lovers' rendezvous in the morning, became a trip to the coast.

Fans Show Their Love For Mary

Off the set, if there's anything I love more than watching the two of them looking chummy, it's all these gifts fans shower their beloved stars. And its not some cheap stuff too, it's all branded and they arrive by the truckloads. I'm sure the whole crew's spirits are lifted despite the demanding and hectic schedule.

More On Mary With Thursday Island

As some of you might have guess from the previous post I did on Mary's style, Thursday Island is the clothing sponsor for Moon Geun Young in Marry Me, Mary. As for Jang Geun Seuk's sponsor...well, I don't think he has an official one; what Mu Gyul is wearing is probably taken right out from JGS's own closet.

Jang Geun Seuk Cries For Real

In KBS 2TV's Mary Stayed Out All Night that broadcasted on November 30th, Jang's character proposes to break up with Mary shortly after he witnesses Mary and Jung In kissing.

The Mu Gyul who would let anyone into his arms but not his heart, experiences real love for the first time (but of course he himself is oblivious to it) through Mary when he feels heartache and his mind in chaos over the matter.

After hearing about Jung In's painful childhood experience, she tells him not to suffer anymore and consoles him.

Jang Geun Seuk Debuts With New Hair Tonight

But that ain't meaning we'll get to see it. If it followed the manhwa, that is. Originally in the manhwa, the scene of Mu Gyul cutting his hair was never shown. It was only when daddy was chasing after Mu Gyul and pulled his long hair (hilarious scene by the way), only to find out it was a wig (but his hair was never that short, it's still abit long-ish).

Marry Me, Mary! in Manga

Awwww-shucks-really! As if the drama itself wasn't cute enough, they had to add in chibi Marys and chibi Mu Gyuls into the picture. Do you know how weak I get when facing chibi humans of any sort? CUTE doesn't even begin to describe this. All I can do is giggle myself silly.

Update: Moon Geun Young for BASIC HOUSE (BTS)

Remember the photo shoot pictures I posted a few days ago? Well, that was nothing compared to these pictures here. Don't be mistaken, this is NOT Mary. No boho look here. It's her twin sister, and she's cheekier, sexier, edgier and might I even add, cuter? Or perhaps this is what Mary would look like after years of living with rocker dude Mu Gyul.

Wanna look like Mary?

Does TV viewing promote materialism? Hell yeah! This blog does too. Don't be surprise if you see more homeless people on the streets. They might not be one. The hobo look is in, y'all!
